Information notice regarding the processing of personal data in the context of video surveillance and video protection systems

1. Who processes your personal data?

Your personal data is processed by the economic interest group CIBAIL as the data controller, located at 86-90 rue Saint-Lazare – 75009 PARIS and a member of the Covéa group.

 

2. Why do we need to process your personal data?

Your personal data is processed to ensure the safety of property and individuals, and to enable the data controller to take appropriate measures in the event of accidental or intentional incidents affecting the safety of people and property.

 

3. To whom is your personal data transmitted?

For the aforementioned purposes, your personal data is intended, within the limits of their duties and authorisations:

  • to persons responsible for the security of the premises,
  • to various service providers to whom your employer may subcontract the management of certain activities,
  • to law enforcement in the event of an incident.

     

4. How long is your personal data retained?

Images are retained for 20 days from the date of recording.

If a procedure is initiated, the images related to the incident will be extracted from the system and retained for the duration of the dispute.

 

5. Where is your personal data processed?

Your personal data is processed in France.

6.1 Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your data.

Your right of access allows you to obtain:

  • confirmation that data concerning you is (or is not) being processed;
  • a copy of all personal data held by the data controller concerning you.

Your right to rectification allows you to correct information concerning you when it is outdated or incorrect. It also allows you to complete incomplete information concerning you.

Your right to erasure allows you to obtain the deletion of your personal data subject to legal retention periods. This may apply, for example, if your data is no longer necessary for processing.

Your right to restriction allows you to request the limitation of the use of your personal data while verifying the accuracy of your data, if the processing is unlawful and you prefer to limit the use of your data rather than delete it, if your data is no longer necessary for the insurer but is still necessary for you, or temporarily while verifying that your objection request can be positively responded to if applicable.

Your right to object allows you to stop the processing of your data when the processing is based on the legitimate interest of the data controller, subject to the existence of compelling legitimate grounds relating to your particular situation.

You can define general directives with a trusted third party or specific directives with the data controller regarding the retention, deletion, and communication of your personal data after your death. These directives can be modified or revoked at any time.

In case of disagreement on the collection or use of your personal data, you have the right to contact the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et Libertés (CNIL).
