Jean-Philippe Margueron, a French army officer and graduate of the Saint-Cyr national military academy, has spent his entire career with the French army, rising up through the ranks. In 2014, he was appointed army general, inspector general of the armed forces, reporting to the Minister of Defence. From 2015 to 2020, he was chief advisor to the fourth chamber of the French Court of Auditors.
