Valérie Cohen is an actuary with a diploma from the Institut des Actuaires (French Institute of Actuaries). She also holds a postgraduate degree in econometrics from Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne and is a graduate of the Centre des Hautes Etudes d’Assurances (CHEA).

She joined GMF in 1990 as comprehensive home insurance and private life product manager. She then became audit manager at GAN, moving on to technical manager and sales and marketing IT system manager at GMF.

She was appointed head of personal property and casualty products at Azur-GMF in 2003 and then served as P&C and Health Technical Director at GMF before being made Personal P&C Technical Director at Covéa in early 2015.

She was appointed Head of P&C at Covéa in January 2018.

She has been Covéa’s Chief Insurance Products and Services Officer since 2020.
