A graduate of Montpellier Business School, Stéphane Duroule began his career at MAAF in 1990, developing the commercial lines business.

He set up MAAF’s first call centre and was in charge of managing its Health and Protection business and then compensation teams.

He became General Manager of MAAF in 2015 and is also Chairman of the Executive Board at BPCE IARD and Chairman of France Assureurs’ Property and Casualty Insurance Committee.

In late 2022, he was appointed General Manager of Covéa Coopérations and Chief Insurance Officer France, with effect as of 1 January 2023. In 2024, he was appointed Deputy CEO of Covéa Coopérations and General Manager of MMA.
