The scheme recognises businesses nationwide that successfully attract, train and retain the brightest and best digital talent.
The achievement represents a major milestone in Covéa Insurance’s digital transformation, a strategic programme which the company embarked upon eighteen months ago in a bid to transform its offering to meet the needs of future customers.
Chief Technology and Information Officer, Graeme Howard comments:
“It’s essential that our products and services are fit for the digital age if we are to deliver ever better solutions for customers. That’s why we’re investing in digital skills, and creating an environment where people can innovate, grow and thrive. This is fundamental to our success, so we couldn’t be happier about gaining this external recognition.”
Covéa Insurance was the only insurance company to be shortlisted for the Best Place to Work in Digital category of the Computing Digital Technology Leader Awards.
It provided award judges with plentiful evidence of its innovative culture, embracing employee ideas, training and support for digital skills.
This included its digital training academy, ‘talk digital’ events in the wider community and diversity and inclusion initiatives such as ‘Stemettes’, #techshecan and Reed’s mentoring scheme for women in tech.
The company has created over 100 new digital roles in the last year and is currently recruiting for a further 39 roles, with more planned for the second half of the year.
